Training and Funding Webinar: Support for Rural Communities to Lead Research

Training and Funding Webinar: Support for Rural Communities to Lead Research

Have you ever wanted to evidence and share your community’s experiences?

This webinar is for staff and volunteers from VCSE organisations and community groups who support rural communities in County Durham, who want to explore local issues and make their voices heard.

We’ll talk through the free training and funding on offer to support communities in leading research.

Please join us online on Wednesday 1st April from 12.15 – 12.45pm via Zoom to learn more.

The webinar will be chaired by Jemma Austin, Research and Insight Project Lead from Durham Community Action, and we will be joined by Stephen Crossley from Durham University, with an opportunity for audience questions and answers at the end.

During the session, you will:

  • Find out more about the Rural Durham Community Research Network

  • Find out more about our free community research training sessions for 2026, and what the training will offer staff and/or volunteers

  • Find out more about this year’s funding on offer to support community research projects

For any enquiries, please email jemma.austin@durhamcommunityaction.org.uk
